About Us
JPRestaurants, the places to eat out in Jersey, Channel Islands
Established in 1946 as a small family-owned studio pottery, Jersey Pottery grew to become one of the Island’s busiest and most popular tourist attractions in the 1980s. In the early 1960s a “coffee bar” was introduced to cater to tourists visiting the ceramic factory and showroom. The original coffee bar was the beginning of JPRestaurants which has now become one of the leading restaurant and catering businesses in Jersey, serving thousands of customers daily with fresh, local and innovative food. The group now includes the Oyster Box, Jersey Crab Shack, Banjo, and Café Ubé.
Questions about our restaurants...
Yes! We have allergen menus at all of our restaurants and cafés, which show which of the 14 key allergens are contained in each of our dishes. This includes the allergen content, as well as the ‘may contain’ risks and cross-contamination risks from preparation and storage methods.
You can download a copy of our allergen menus below. They are also available in our restaurants and cafés upon request.

Yes – we aim to cater to all dietary requirements. Our group executive head chef is an expert in the area, assisting with staff training and menu development for the whole business.
All our restaurants and cafés offer gluten, dairy, meat and fish-free dishes including gluten-free bread, soups and batters. Non-gluten (NGCI), dairy-free (DF), vegetarian (V) and vegan (VV) dishes are clearly marked on our menus, and we also have healthier and lower calorie choices to suit different tastes and appetites. As with all food allergies and intolerances, we request that you let your server know in advance of any requirements so we can be sure to cater to your needs.
For different dietary requirements, including special diets or religious requirements, please contact us before you visit to let us know about your needs. In some instances, we may need to check details with our suppliers to confirm which ingredients will be suitable.
Everyone is welcome at our restaurants, cafés and visitor accommodation, and we do our best to make our sites as inclusive and accessible as possible. Unfortunately, though, owing to planning constraints and building restrictions, some of our venues may not be accessible to guests with limited mobility.
Please check our Accessibility Guide for full details, or get in touch with us if you have any questions about accessibility.
We currently aren’t able to offer private dining, events, or large parties. Our largest table size is for up to 12 guests, but we may be able to split bigger groups across multiple tables – please get in touch to ask.
Unfortunately not.
We respectfully ask that food that has not been prepared in our kitchens is not consumed on our premises, and this includes birthday cakes or other celebratory dishes. This is for many reasons, including potential issues with food safety, allergens, and the service of the cake.
Please get in touch with us in advance if you’re celebrating a special occasion – we can make a cake for you (as long as we have at least 48 hours’ notice) or we can offer a celebratory pudding to help make your occasion extra special.
Our detailed booking terms and conditions are outlined here.
