The Last Thursday Club is Banjo’s monthly Social Night, designed to bring people together in a relaxed, welcoming environment, whatever your relationship status.
Taking place on the last Thursday of every month, the event is open to anyone who wants to meet new people, make friends, and enjoy easy conversation over great drinks. Whether you’re new to Jersey, expanding your social circle, or just looking for a more sociable night out, the Last Thursday Club is all about genuine connection without pressure or expectations.
Hosted in Banjo’s stylish cocktail bar, the evening is deliberately informal. There’s no structure, no ice-breakers, and no awkward setups. Just a space where you know people are open to chatting and getting to know someone new.
Come alone or with friends, pop in for one drink or stay for the whole evening; it’s entirely up to you. Make a night of it with dinner in the restaurant – our Market Menu offers great value dining, and our A La Carte has plenty of choices for casual midweek meals, from our famous burger to our curries.

Held in the beautiful Banjo Bar on the last Thursday of every month, this is the perfect opportunity for islanders to meet new people, enjoy delicious drinks, and experience the fun of making fresh connections.
How Does It Work?
There’s no formal structure to the Last Thursday Club.
Simply head to the Banjo Bar from 6pm, order a drink, and settle in. The space is set up to encourage relaxed conversation, and everyone attending knows the evening is about being social, meeting new people, and making connections; whether that’s a new friend, a familiar face, or someone you’d like to chat to again next month.

Absolutely. Many guests attend on their own, while others come with friends. Both are equally welcome.
Not at all. There’s no structure or expectations: you’re free to chat, listen, observe, or simply enjoy a drink at your own pace. If you’re feeling a bit nervous, feel free to come and observe to begin with, there’s no pressure to get involved.
No booking is required. Just turn up on the night.
Yes. Banjo’s bar and restaurant remain open as usual throughout the evening.
The event starts from 6pm, but there’s no set end time. Stay as long, or as briefly, as you like.
The Last Thursday Club is open to adults of all ages. Past events have welcomed a wide mix of people from all walks of life. As the event is hosted in our bar, we do just ask that those attending are at least 18 years old.
Our full A La Carte and Market Menus will be available if you fancy dining – whether in the bar, or in the restaurant after you’ve finished mingling. Just ask the team if you’d like to eat.
